From 1999 to somewhere around 2015, I was really into fishing. It wasn't easy to get me started but my friends Aric and Scott finally convinced me to go fishing with them at Strawberry Lake in Evart, Michigan. It was at Strawberry Lake that the Hatfish competition was born.

In just a few short years I acquired a rather extensive collection of Fishing Tackle. I'd spend hours at Cabela's or Bass Pro Shop as well as local shops. I'd watch Bill Dance Outdoors, In Fisherman and any other fishing programs on Fishin' Fishin' Friday.

I haven't gone fishing very much in recent years but for a while, I was seriously addicted. There were numerous fishing adventures. My Longest Day Fishing was July 13th, 2000. I did a frigid day on a Steelhead Charter with Wild Bill and A Week In The Boundary Waters fishing in Canada. I've even tried Ice Fishing a few times before I decided that it wasn't my bag.
