Hatfish.com was the first domain name that I purchased. I bought on September 11th, 2002. This was back in the days before Go Daddy was so popular and domains names were expensive and came from sterile, lab coat types of places.

The first incarnation of Hatfish.com was a collection of HTML pages. I was teaching myself to create web pages using Notepad. Eventually, I dabbled in some of the page editors that came and went like Frontpage and a couple others that have escaped my memory.

The most recent version used WordPress and clever theme.

As part Operation Steady Bunny, I've decided to fold the contents of Hatfish.com into this site and sell the Hatfish.com domain name. I've had a few decent offers over the past 20 years. I figured that I hang up the for-sale sign and see what happens.

It is kind of emotional in that I've had it for 20 years and I can't help but think of what life was like back then and all the cool things that have evolved over those 2 decades. Does everybody do that? When I see an old photograph, I can't help but think about how cool it would be to be able to start from that point again and relive all those moments from then until now.

At the same time, I can't help but consider what life was like prior. All the stuff that happened before the very first incarnation of Hatfish.com existed. I guess that's part of why this site is here.
